Configuration Editor - fixed assets

Sage 50 Accounts lets you divide your fixed assets into ninety nine different categories for analysis and reporting purposes.

Note: You can change the name of the Fixed Asset Category label, wherever it appears in your software by typing a new name in the Label box on the Fixed Assets tab of the Configuration Editor.

To set up fixed asset categories and labels

1. Select the category you want to amend > Edit.
2. Enter a name for your fixed asset category > OK.
3. To change the category label, enter your new description in the Label box.

4. To save your changes, use:

   Save As - to apply changes to the company and save changes to the template in a different location on your computer; perhaps to create a template.

   Apply - to apply changes to the company but not change the template.

   Save - to apply changes to the company and the template (.xml file) listed in the Filename box.
